Conform Guide

This is a constantly updated conform guide for handover and exchange to grade. For software specific tips, follow the links below then upload timeline file (XML, AAF, EDL), reference file (MP4) and high quality source material (CLEAN PLAYOUT / CAMERA SOURCE FILES) via the portal below.

Timeline Preperation

  • All edit clips should be collapsed down to video track one.

  • Composite elements should be stacked on tracks above V2/V3/V4 etc.

  • Any graphic elements such as logos or text should be on the same video track.

  • The first frame of action (especially when starting on black) must start at a whole timecode hour (for example: 01:00:00:00 or 10:00:00:00)

Please download this high resolution TIFF test image, or use a generic SMPTE colour chart and place in the header of the timeline. (for example starting at: 00:59:58:00 or 09:59:58:00) This image can be used to test the workflow and to troubleshoot any issues that might arise.

Reference Playout

A reference file of each timeline should be exported (MP4 is fine). It is best to create a file with Burnt-in Information for source clip timecode, source clip names and record timecode.
